When I was growing up, my parents talked about food all the time, especially at the dinner table. I learned early on that what you put into your body in large part determines how you feel. This was empowering to me! Eventually, I went on to get a certificate in nutrition counseling, found yoga and meditation for enhancing my overall wellbeing, and began researching more natural approaches to everyday ailments.
Becoming a mother heightened my interest in finding simple, do-able remedies for my family. As I began to research various health remedies in depth, I realized that although many people are interested in alternatives to fad diets and pharmaceutical drugs for their health and wellness, they don’t necessarily have the time or inclination to wade throughout the overwhelming and sometimes contradictory information in order to find suitable remedies.
The remedies I write about may be controversial, or they may have a long track record, they may be ancient discoveries, or recent ones, they may be common or lesser known. I have tried most of the remedies I write about, but not all, and I’ll be curious to know how they work for you!
